To get Google to notice a website, it must see regular and fresh content being produced often. When search engines see this, they automatically see you as professional, and your site becomes an authority, as long as you have the right keywords and LSI. Web 2.0 is so huge, because collaborative websites get so much content delivered to them on a regular basis, by people writing on the subject matter at great length. For example, Wikipedia is so big now that it is quite often difficult to research something without getting hit by a Wiki ranked page. This is the power of Web 2.0 and it can be yours for the grand total of free.

Few people realise that they can get free content to their site, by simply encouraging conversations on their websites. By actively increasing people’s desire to share information, you are going to get them involved in your site’s growth.  People love to be a part of something, so if you can get them to interact, and not just read your site, then you are genuinely leaps ahead of the others. You can get your own small slice of the revolution that is Web 2.0.

To get your visitors to participate in your blog’s content, you can simply open up your posts to them so they can comment (with moderation), and also allow people to write articles about their own sites. You stipulations should be that the article MUST be 100% unique, and not just some marketing patter they put out. Free advertising is still free advertising, and they will jump at the chance to get 400 words about their site onto a blog for free, and also get a backlink in there too.

Start a guestbook, and even a chat window, and you will start to see the visitors interacting with their surroundings, and then the traffic will begin to get more regular, as people check back to see if anyone has replied to their comment. RSS feeds will be added, and before you know it, you will be part of the Web 2.0 plethora of sites.
