Niche Finding: Allinurl
In order to become successful with your online business, your website has to attract potential customers and convert those potentials into actuals. You also need to ensure that the niche you become involved with is one that you are interested in greatly as this enjoying what you are doing is the only way you will ever make a true success of it. To find a niche can often be the hardest part of creating your website and business altogether. In order to find a niche in the correct way, you will need to use some of Google’s advanced operators. These are certain words that you can enter into a search that have a
significant meaning to Google. Generally, these words will modify your search, however they can sometimes change it completely. An example of this would be the related Google search. If you typed in “related:” (no quotes) www.google.com will list for you all of the sites that are similar to www.google.com.
There is also an advanced search for Google called the “allinurl” (no quotes) search. This will help you greatly once you have short-listed some keywords you would like to focus on for your own website. This allows you to filter the results in an incredibly specific way, enabling you to check the level of competition that you are up against for these particular keywords. The way in which this search works is to filter all of Google’s results so that the only ones listed are those with your chosen word/words in the website URL. For example, if you did an allinurl search on dog groomers, the results that were listed would be only the websites with these two words in the title. However, this advanced operator search is yet to add in the punctuation so therefore, the results will remain the same regardless of whether or not the words are hyphenated etc. in any way.
