The PLR Trap

PLR can be your worst enemy and your best friend. It is ideal for people who hate writing, and it is also ideal for those who need to offer a free product to their visitors which will be packed with great ideas and actually viable. PLR is written by a lot of highly successful entrepreneurs, and also there are lots of writers who simply research a niche then write good content on it. You will often find that PLR falls into the latter category. There is a LOT on the internet that is rehashed content – and this is your first problem. PLR is usually written on clever ideas, over and over again. Writers will put out PLR based on methods that are already done to death, and when your reader starts the ebook or guide, they will straight away peg it for rehashed content.

The second problem you will face with PLR is that it has got thousands of marketers using it at the same time. This means you cannot publish any of it on your website and hope to get ranked with it, and it also means that some of your readers will actually have read the exact same content somewhere else – and probably paid for it. You do not really want your visitors to get anywhere near the mindframe this creates. You want them to feel enriched by your content, and come back for more & more.

The best way to get fresh and new content, based on ideas that are workable is to look on forums for good article writers, and to get ideas for the content, you should look on forums for fresh posts that actually have good methods in them. Tie them all up and use that as your ebook material. You should never use PLR on your website, for the unique content reasons. You don’t want to be publishing something that has already been done to death on 4 million other websites.
